May 20, 2017 - Snakeskin, Cahuilla Cutoff and Sutton's Run

Place: New trail head location on May Valley Rd. (where the top of the Sunset Trail comes out)
Trails: Snakeskin, Cahuilla Cutoff and Sutton's Run

This is RSVP only with the first 25 claiming spots. Please RSVP to Katie at katiehed@aol.com. All volunteers need to sign waiver and anyone under 18 must have a guardian sign.
Bring: Long sleeves and pants with sturdy footwear and gloves. Sunscreen and sunglasses are suggested. Bring a lunch and plenty of water since none will be provided. There will be a limited number of tools so bring additional loppers and rakes if you have them.

Agenda 

9 a.m. Meet at the top of May Valley Rd. (via Cowbell Alley) where the Sunset Trails connects at the top.  This location will be one of the new official trailheads.

9:00- 9:30 a.m. Release forms collected.  Explanation of work to be performed, job hazard analysis, identification of first aid.  Two groups will be formed to take on each trail. 

9:30-12:00 Trail work as flagged and supervised by F.S. staff and Idyllwild Cycling Trail Leads. 

12:00p.m. Break/ lunch 

12:30- 3:00 Trail work.  Project ends at 3:00 pm. Agreement expires. 

What to wear and bring 

Mandatory: long pants, closed toe boots, work gloves, eye protection(sun glasses). Also bring plenty of water, food, etc. 

RSVP: Idyllwild Cycling.

Project cap of 25 volunteers. Heavy rain, snow or lighting will postpone.
