SATURDAY - CROSS COUNTRY
SUNDAY - TIME TRIAL
Plans for the 2012 are underway! This year there will be some changes to the Idyllwild Spring Challenge. Due to a possible closure of some trails in May Valley, the Cross Country course will be slightly altered at the end. This closure will hopefully be of short duration as the Forest Service plans to fix some erosion problems.
Unfortunately, the trails of concern make up the bottom half of the Super D course. 2012 will see a break in our Super D and Stage Race. The Cross Country race wil remain as classic as ever and as a bonus we will run the Time Trial on Sunday free of charge (one day license fees still apply). The Time Trial course itself is also becoming a classic and winners will receive a gift certificate one of Idyllwild's favorite restaurants, La Casita. Time Trial participants are limited to 75 participants.
Every year we try to better the event. Comments and suggestions are always welcome. We love to hear if you enjoyed your time up in Idyllwild. It helps confirm we are on the right track! This race is for all of you and we want it to be the best it can be (but please, not 'perfect'. Who really wants to be perfect?!)
