Katie Hedrich
Chief instigator and driving force of Idyllwild Cycling. She is the president of Idyllwild Cycling and is the one who is responsible for bringing to life the "Idyllwild Spring Challenge" every year. A woman of vision, with the idea of hosting a local mountain bike race in the San Jacinto Mountains. She has succeeded in uniting the people of Idyllwild, both cyclists and non-cyclists, in supporting this event. Katie invests every spare moment of her day to the details of the Spring Challenge Race. She is an accomplished mountain bike racer and California state champion. Katie is both a mountain bike and road rider. When we ask her to comment on her accomplishments, she replies, "See where it has gotten me!"

Eric Schusterman
A lifelong cyclist in both road and mountain biking. Eric is a true team leader on our mountain bike rides. He motivates all of us to become better and stronger riders. His day job is a motion picture film editor in Hollywood, but on the weekends you will find him out riding the trails of Idyllwild. Eric serves as the announcer for the annual Spring Challenge race. He also holds VIP status as the devoted husband of Katie.

Bud Hunt
Owner and operator of Idyllwild's only bike shop, the Bike Route. Bud is both a mountain community icon and mountain biker idol. 76 years old, and he still leads every Saturday morning ride on a single speed bike. Bud has a rich history in bicycling. He rides his road bike, mountain bike, and single speed bike. He has lived in Idyllwild for over 50 years and is well known by everyone in the town.

Alan Vester
Webmaster of Idyllwild Cycling and number one assistant to Katie Hedrich. I have been riding both mountian and road bikes for many years. I am looking forward to hitting the trails in 2008. I mountain bike ride in Idyllwild and road ride in Orange County.
